My truck and trailer are plated in Mexico, so I must purchase insurance for my truck when I’m in the US. Normally, I purchase temporary insurance for my vehicle via National Unity. Numerous providers are available with a simple Google search and at physical agencies along the highway as you approach the border. For Mexican residents, be familiar with your Mexican insurance policy to understand what is and isn’t covered while you’re traveling in the US.
